Afterschool Programs

Woodcrest offers Encore, which is an enrichment program that allows all students in the building to explore a passion. Students sign up for a course and meet monthly to engage in the area. Encore courses include yoga, cooking, hockey, knitting, photography, robotics, coding pottery, basketball, etc. The program encourages critical thinking and problem-solving. All Woodcrest students K-5 are placed in a Galaxy Group and remain together during their entire elementary school experience. Galaxy Group helps students learn life skills including how to deal with themselves, others, and relationships. SEL-related content is embedded into the program and helps students identify emotions and learn how to deal with them and express them when dealing with others
